The City of Newberry has launched The National Community Survey (The NCS) to gather resident input for strategic planning initiatives and to align goals around the community’s top priorities.
The City of Newberry reminds residents that there is only one week left to participate in The National Community Survey (The NCS). This survey is vital for gathering resident input on various aspects of community life, which will significantly influence strategic planning and future city initiatives.
As we approach the final week of the survey period, we urge all residents to take this opportunity to voice their opinions. The feedback collected will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our city by helping us align our goals with the community’s top priorities.
“We are thrilled with the input we’ve received so far, but we want to hear from as many residents as possible,” said City Manager Mike New. “The survey provides a baseline understanding of our services and will allow us to measure our impact going forward. Your input is essential in helping us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve.”
The NCS, developed by the National Research Center (NRC) at Polco, captures opinions on various aspects of community life, including the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and overall livability. This comprehensive approach ensures that we understand the community’s strengths and areas for improvement, allowing us to make informed decisions.
To participate in the survey, residents should visit https://polco.us/Newberry2
Upon completing the survey, residents are encouraged to provide their email address and ZIP code to ensure that each voice is heard once and to confirm residency within the community. Those who provide their email addresses will be subscribed to Newberry's profile with Polco, making it easier to participate in future engagement opportunities. Rest assured, responses will remain anonymous, and personal information will be securely stored on Polco. Individual data and votes are never shared.
"We strongly encourage all residents to take the survey," added City Manager New. "The more people participate, the better data we will have to inform our plans. This is your chance to share your thoughts and shape the future of Newberry."
The survey will close on May 31st. For more information, please contact the city at 352-472-2161 ext 1. Don’t miss this opportunity to make your voice heard!
