The Community Development Department administers a variety of processes ranging from the Newberry Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations to the Capital Planning Program, and other intergovernmental programs and plays a pivotal role in shaping the urban and rural landscapes of the City of Newberry.

Historic Resource Survey: Through the assistance of a small matching grant from the Florida Division of Historic Resources, City of Newberry has updated its historic resource survey. This document is a compendium of historic properties that document their architectural typology, character, craftsmanship, age, and other intangible assets such as association with historic events, people, and other cultural or societal significance.
