Tropical Storm Debby Updates- City offices closed on Monday 8/5

Based on the current forecast, Alachua County residents and visitors should complete all storm preparations right away. All City offices will be closed for business on Monday, August 5th. The scheduled P&Z Board meeting is canceled. 

Western Alachua County is under a Tropical Storm Warning and the rest of the County under a Tropical Storm Watch. The entire County is under a Flash Flood Warning.

Excessive rainfall and resulting freshwater flooding and subsequent river flooding will be the most substantial impacts, with some wind, and possible tornado activity. Due to the expected slow motion of Debby, a lengthy period of impacts is anticipated that could last several days.
