NEWBERRY, FL – The City of Newberry has announced that the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new City Hall originally scheduled for Monday, November 24th, has been postponed to Monday, January 12th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

While we were excited to welcome the community to our new home this evening, we look forward to celebrating this important milestone together in the new year. The additional time will allow for final touches to the Commission Chamber to be completed and ensure the new Dias is ready to welcome residents in true Newberry style.

The rescheduled event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the new building, and light refreshments for attendees. Representatives from Scorpio and Monarch Design Group, who helped bring the project to life, will be on hand to share insights about the construction and design of the new City Hall.

Community members are encouraged to come out and join the City Manager, Mayor, City Commissioners, and staff for this special occasion — a celebration of growth, collaboration, and the future of our hometown.

“We can’t wait to open the doors of our new City Hall and share this beautiful space with the people who make Newberry such a wonderful community,” said City Manager Jordan Marlowe. “This building represents not just progress, but the continued spirit of togetherness that defines our city.”

Please mark your calendars for Monday, January 12th at 5:00 p.m., and join us for this long-awaited celebration at Newberry’s new City Hall.
