Alachua County Protection Department is sponsoring a project to collect, recycle, treat, and properly dispose of the following hazardous wastes:
- Pesticides
- Paint thinners
- Radiator fluid
- Used oil/lubricants
- Oil filters
- Insecticides
- Stale gasoline
- Fluorescent lamps
- Electronics
- Solvents
- Paints
- Batteries - all types
- Fertilizers
- Household cleaners
- Pool chemicals
- Computers
- TVs
- Flares/ammunition
- Corrosives
- Propane tanks
- Prescriptions & medicine
- Aerosol cans.
This is a free service to area residents.

Limb & Yard Debris Amnesty | Monday, March 21st through Thursday, March 24th, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
All yard waste must be curbside by Sunday, March 20th as collection will being Monday, March 21st
- Leaves must be in paper disposable leaf bags. No plastic bags.
- Please place all yard waste 5ft off the road for pick up by staff.
