Collection Days & Times

Collection times are between the hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Please be sure that waste you wish to have collected is placed curb side by 7:00 am on the appropriate collection day.

• Trash and garbage are collected twice each week, on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Bulk Trash, on Thursdays.
• White Goods and Furniture are collected once each week.
  • Customer must call City office or Waste Pro if they wish to dispose of white good items and furniture. 
• Recycling is collected once per week –
  • Mondays for all customers residing north of Newberry Road (State Road 26)
  • Wednesdays for customers residing south of Newberry Road.
• Yard waste is collected once per week on Wednesdays.

Solid waste collection days will be affected by the following holidays:

• New Years' Day
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Collection schedules for weekly services occurring after these days will be scheduled 1 day later (ie, holiday falls on Monday, all services after will fall a day later than usual – Wednesday collection moves to Thursday, etc.).

Please contact Customer Service at (352) 472-2161 ext 1 in the event your refuse is not collected at the regularly scheduled time. Be sure to provide your name, street address, subdivision name (if applicable) and a telephone number that you wish to be contacted to verify that your service request was completed to your satisfaction.
