Newberry Invites Participants to be in it's July 4th Parade

4th of July Parade Flyer - July 4th at 9AM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEWBERRY, FL — The City of Newberry is inviting residents, churches, businesses, schools, organizations, and community groups from the region to be part of history as preparations begin for Newberry’s 4th of July Parade celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.

This year’s parade will be unlike anything Newberry has seen before. The Mayor’s vision is to feature 100 floats representing major moments, people, and events throughout America’s history in chronological order — creating a moving tribute to 250 years of freedom, patriotism, innovation, and American spirit. From the Revolutionary War and the signing of the Declaration of Independence to the moon landing, military tributes, and modern American milestones, parade participants are encouraged to bring history to life in creative and exciting ways.

“This is more than just a parade — it’s an opportunity for our entire community to come together and celebrate the story of America,” said Mayor Tim Marden. “We want families, churches, businesses, schools, and organizations to help us create an unforgettable experience that honors our nation’s past while celebrating the future together right here in Newberry.”

The parade will take place on July 4th at 9AM in Downtown Newberry as part of the City’s continuing America's 250th celebration series. In addition to the parade, the community can also look forward to the City’s Independence Day Fireworks Show on July 3rd at CountryWay Town Square, drought permitting.

Parade float registration officially opens this Thursday at 7PM via Sign Up Genius, and the City encourages groups of all sizes from the entire region to participate. Whether you want to showcase a historic era, honor veterans, celebrate innovation, or highlight American culture through the decades, there is a place for everyone in this celebration. The City of Newberry hopes this once-in-a-generation event will bring the greater North Central Florida community together in a meaningful and memorable way while showcasing the pride and patriotism that makes America's 250th special.

Additional registration details and participation information will be released through the City of Newberry’s official social media channels and website.

Let freedom ring — loudly, proudly, and locally.
