- Ages: 7-12 Tri-County Football League / 11-14 Oak View Middle School
- Practices: Dates & times are determined by the coach (2-3 times a week)
- Games: Saturdays with the Tri-County Football League / Mondays or Tuesdays for OVMS (depending on JV or Varisty)
Coaches Meeting: Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 at 6:30pm at the Easton-Newberry Sports Complex Multipurpose Room
*Tri-County League age is determined by the player's age as of September 1st, 2024.*
*Boys Club League age is determined by the player's age as of August 1st, 2024.*
Required Documents
All players are required to submit the following documents to participate in the 14U Boys & Girls Club (OVMS) Tackle Football Program:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Boys & Girls Club registration & membership form
- Copy of the final grade report from the preceding academic year
- Completed medical physical (EL2 and EL3 forms)
- Newberry Parks & Recreation Registration/Waiver Form
All players are required to submit the following documents to participate in the 8U, 10U, and 12U Tri-County Tackle Football Program:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Newberry Parks & Recreation Registration/Waiver Form
- Completed medical physical
Academic Eligibility
The 14U Boys & Girls Club Football League requires all participants to have a minimum of a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) to participate. All participants’ preseason GPA will be determined by a submitted copy of the final grade report from the preceding academic year. The playoff GPA will be determined by a submitted copy of the Interim Academic Report.
There are no academic requirements at this time to participate in the Tri-County Football League. We encourage parents and coaches to monitor your participant's academic standing to determine appropriate playing time.
Practice Information
Practice days/times will be determined by the head coach of each team at the coaches meeting. Practices take place during the week, starting no earlier than 5 PM and not ending later than 9 PM.
Uniforms/Equipment
All players will be provided with uniforms and equipment from Newberry Parks & Recreation at the start of the season. This includes a jersey, helmet, shoulder pads, one (1) mouthpiece, and one (1) chin strap.
Practice and game pants will NOT be provided. Game pants must be purchased before the first game.
All equipment (excluding jerseys) provided by Newberry Parks & Recreation must be returned at the end of the season. If not returned, the participant will be responsible for the replacement cost of each item not returned.
Game Information
Age groups 8U, 10U, and 12U will participate in the Tri-County Football League. Tri-County League games will take place on Saturdays at the following locations: Branford, Trenton, Bell, Chiefland, Bronson, Newberry, and Dixie.
Middle School aged players will participate in the Boys & Girls Club Middle School League. Teams will be separated into JV and Varsity by the coaches. Boys & Girls Club games will take place during the week at the NW Boys and Girls Club in Gainesville.
Once a schedule becomes available, all coaches and parents will be emailed a copy.
